The Life behind a Coach

Who Knows Where The Road Will Take You 1

For the next few months I am going to write a series of articles on what it is like to live the life of a Coach.

Reflecting back on January 2012, it was a very interesting month.  I had moved office and was a little anxious and excited at the same time.

It only took one person to say "Everyone is down sizing in this present climate - are you sure you are doing the right thing? for me (like any human being) to question what I was doing. My office was in a better location and I was very happy with it until then.

Being a Coach, I decided to re-affirm the reasons I had decided to move office and looked towards the Universe to demonstrate that I had made the right choice.

Before the end of that week, I went to a talk on Building your Business through the recession.  It was a very interesting talk and at the end there were some questions.  One question to the speaker was "What tip can you give us to build our business?"  The answer was "Always go after business that is bigger than you, where you feel you need to stretch to achieve".

I got my answer, yes I always think big, and yes, I have high expectations to reach my potential.

Caution:  There are many people out there who dampen your spirits.  I call them "External Gremlins", others call them "Energy Vampires".  It really doesn't matter, it is how you re-act to their message and the action that you take that will count.

Here is an example of how I live as a Coach and how I always look for the positive in everything I say and do.  I choose my thoughts and what I focus on and I choose my actions.

Re-Aligning your Love Triangle.

Where are you to-day in your relationship?
Has your love for each other shifted?
Has money had a major impact?
How powerful to you feel right now?

As a Life & Business Coach, I am experienceing a lot of people coming to me to work on their relationship, how their values, their feeling of power have changed and are curious of the impact that this is having on their loving relationship.

Are you experiencing any of these issues in your life right now and how are you coping with them?

Career Coaching

What is my life about? And what do I want it to be about?

QUOTE FROM PAST CLIENT

"My life is about getting up in the morning and going into a job that I don't enjoy or even look forward to.  At the moment, I am merely going through the motions of going to work".

Is this you?  Does this statement sound familiar?

If so, you are not really living, you are "The Living Dead" - barely existing and certainly not living.

5 REASONS WHY PEOPLE STAY IN A CAREER THAT THEY DO NOT LOVE: -

1. SECURITY - The job offers them the security of a set Income every week.

2. COMFORT ZONE  - The job is offering them 1/3 of what they want and 2/3 of what they do not want but they are comfortable and resist change.

3. They value what other people say more than their own happiness.  So when someone tells them that they are doing a "Brilliant Job" this matters more than their own happiness and fulfilment.

4. Their parents insist that they follow them as regards their choice of Career.  So they dictate and control the Career Choices of their children.

5. They completed a Degree in a certain area due to "Peer Pressure" or because they were not sure of what they wanted to do, so they "Went with the Crowd".

WHY SHOULD PEOPLE CHANGE CAREER & "FIND THE CAREER THAT THEY LOVE"

1. In life, everyone strives and searches for ways to be significant and contribute to society.  People can "Find the Career they Love" and carry out this work every day.

2. Life is "Precious" and for that one reason, everyone should love their work as they spend most of their life at work.

3. Life is not about living for "Friday" and the Weekends.  Life is about "Living in the moment and loving every precious moment".

4. When people find the "Career that they Love", they feel worthwhile and know that they can make a difference.

5. You are never again a "Clock Watcher" and you never "Resent your Time" working.

You are working from your "Best Self" and will excel in whatever you do.

If you knew you could not fail................

Posted by Mary Curran on August 17 2010 @ 10:09

what would you do?

"The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams."  Oprah Winfrey

Take 10 minutes and write down what it would feel like to live the life of your dreams.  What would you see, what would you do, how would you feel, who would be with you, where would you live?

If you know what you simply could not fail at everything you set your mind to, what would you do differently.

The only failure is where there is a failure to learn.  Learn from your experiences, learn how not to do something and embrace your challenges.
